Alasdair MacDougall

Finance

Having graduated in 1981 with an accounting and finance degree, Alasdair qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1984 with Arthur Young, with whom he then spent a further two years as a senior auditor, additionally gaining experience within the firm’s training department, and tutoring on several national courses. 

During the following 30 years he held various finance roles within industry in the Central Belt and Highlands of Scotland, specialising particularly in housebuilding, construction and road haulage.

Since 2017 he has been self employed within a financial consultancy, concentrating largely on the hospitality industry within the Highlands. He has also acted in a treasury and management capacity for a successful golf club, which has significantly increased its tourism revenue streams during this period.
